There is a path through grief.
This beautiful, visual pathway (above) correlates well with the grief journey.
I wonder if you can see what I see…below.
There is a path.
There is a structure.
There is support.
And there is a next step.
There is a path. There is a structure. There is support. And there is a next step.
YOU DON’T NEED AN ORGANIZATION TO BEGIN
Grief Care for Individuals & Independent Community Groups
You may be grieving without a church grief ministry, an employee assistance program, a community organization, or a formal support system behind you.
Or perhaps you belong to a support group that has formed organically—a group of friends, caregivers, parents, divorced adults, widows, or people connected by a shared experience of loss.
You are still welcome here.
Mahogany Soul Care offers grief education and grief recovery opportunities directly to individuals and independently formed groups who want a safe, structured place to better understand grief and determine what kind of support may be helpful next.
You do not need an organizational referral to begin the conversation.
WHEN YOU’RE CARRYING GRIEF THAT OTHER PEOPLE MAY NOT SEE
For Individuals
Sometimes there is no ministry or organization surrounding your loss.
There may simply be you and what happened.
Perhaps people know about your loss but assume you are doing fine.
Perhaps the loss happened years ago.
Perhaps your grief isn't connected to a death at all.
Or perhaps you have been functioning, working, serving, caring for others, attending church, and continuing with life while privately recognizing:
Something about this loss still hurts.
Grief can follow many experiences:
Death • divorce • separation • estrangement • job loss • retirement • relocation • health changes • caregiving • friendship loss • church hurt • financial loss • broken trust • family changes • unmet expectations • loss of identity • dreams that did not happen
You do not have to decide whether your loss is “big enough” to deserve attention.
If the loss mattered to you, your response to it matters too.
You don't have to make grief fit the service.
The goal is to identify the kind of care that fits where you are.
BRING GRIEF CARE TO A GROUP
For Independent Groups
Not every meaningful support community belongs to an institution.
Sometimes people find one another because they share a loss, transition, responsibility, or life experience.
Mahogany Soul Care can work with independently organized support groups and community groups that want to strengthen their understanding of grief.
Your group might include:
Widows and widowers
Divorced or separated adults
Caregivers
Parents experiencing loss
Women navigating major life transitions
People experiencing job loss or career disruption
Adults dealing with family estrangement
People affected by racial harm
Those recovering from painful church experiences
Friends who have gathered around a shared loss
Community-based mixed groups
You do not need to establish a nonprofit or become a formal organization before asking about a workshop or educational experience.
FOR THOSE READY TO GO DEEPER
Welcome to…
Grief is the normal and natural response to loss - but many of us were never taught what to do with the emotional pain that loss leaves behind.
And grief isn’t limited to death.
Divorce. Job loss. Retirement. Moving. Estrangement. Broken trust. Changes in health. Financial loss. Empty nesting. Lost dreams. Changes in relationships. Religious hurt. Racialized experiences. Caregiving. Life transitions. Sense of meaning and purpose.
Sometimes we know exactly what we’re grieving.
Other times, we simply know that something still hurts.
