Done Hating Me: Interrupting Internalized Racism workshop helps people notice, unpack, and challenge the racist ideas society may have taught them about themselves or their communities. This is critical in order to address our own biases and stereotypes we accept about ourselves. We will integrate soul care, scripture, reflection, and practical engagement while addressing internalized racism through a biblical lens.
Participants will:
Learn what internalized racism is
How cultural messages shape identity
The ways that internalized racism contradicts God’s view of us
Engage in activities that help in restoring our image as God’s beloved
